Frequently Asked Questions
1) How are your sessions Run?
You may have already noticed I am not the stiff-posing type of photographer. I love my photos to show genuine connections and intimate interactions between you and your children. I encourage you to let your kids explore, play games with you and let them lead the way. I'll capture your family in the moment while also guiding you into a gentle pose to get a mixture of candid and casual posed images.
2)How far in advanced should I book my session?
Newborns are best booked months in advanced (think 2nd trimester) to ensure your due date is blocked off in my calendar (I only take a limited number of newborns a month)
All other sessions I recommend reaching out at least two months in advance to ensure the date you want. If your hoping for a weekend date I encourage you to reach out even sooner (summer gets busy!) Weekday sessions are held Monday-Friday.
3) What happens if I am sick ?
Nobody feels their best when they are sick or baby is teething and has a fever (also were in the middle of a pandemic!)
So please if someone is not feeling well, call me as soon as possible so we can reschedule your session.
4) What locations are used for photos?
I use a variety of locations for my sessions, some of my locations are private properties. Upon booking I send out a questionnaire to help me with session planning and getting to know you. Once I learn a-little more I then work with you to choose a location (flowers, fields, downtown, beach, wooded) Session locations are all within 45 min of Appleton-with extended travel available.
5) What happens if I cancel my session?
If you cancel your session because of an emergency or illness I will work with you to reschedule your session. If you choose to cancel for other reasons and wish to not reschedule your $150 deposit will be forfeited.
6) What if I don't know how to style myself or my family for photos?
Upon booking a welcome guide will be emailed to you with styling tips and more about what to expect at your session. I also love to assist with styling and have a client closet with ladies dresses and 18m and under children's clothing available for rental. I also provide an interactive styling service called Style & Select which I provide access to upon booking.
7) What if I don't think my kids will behave or follow directions?
Kids are kids, most of my images are of kids running around and in their natural element-I actually prefer them to be themselves during their session. Make sure kids are well fed before their session and have snacks on hand just in case. Games during our session help to keep them engaged.
7 ) Do you offer print or product printing services?
Your session comes with the digital rights to all your images so you can print as you wish. I offer printing through your client gallery from a professional print lab and orders are shipped directly to your house. I also love to sit with you and walk you through the ordering process if that is something you would like. Heirloom albums, canvas, metal wall art and wood prints are just a few of the custom art work that is available.
8) Inclement Weather
No body wants to be soaked in rainstorm during their session...so the day of your session I keep a close eye on the weather and if looks like a potential wash out I will reach out and discuss rescheduling. Wisconsin weather is unpredictable at times.
9) Do you offer referral credits or client loyalty
YES! I offer a $20 referral credit for every client that is referred to me by you and books a session. I also offer all returning clients a 10% session discount on any full session (not valid on mini sessions)
