Newborn & Children's Session Guide
If you are expecting your first or fourth child or documenting your growing toddler I am thrilled you have chosen to capture this important time in their life. Childhood is so fleeting...days go fast, nights can be sleep deprived and next thing you know they have grown. These images will take you back to those sweet times of little toes, fuzzy hair and baby cheeks.
Newborns
When choosing when to book your newborn session I highly encourage booking at least 3-4 months before your due date. I only take a limited number of newborns a month to ensure availability incase of early or late arrival. Booking is based on your estimated due date and once baby arrives you will notify me as soon as possible and we will get your session scheduled. Newborn sessions are done Monday-Friday at my home studio which is in the lower level of my home in Freedom, WI. Sessions are done between the hours of 9 am- 3 pm (unless a diffrent time is agreed upon). Sessions can also be held outdoors during the summer months in a more lifestyle format.
In home lifestyle newborn sessions can be done in the comfort of your own home as well.
I provide everything your newborn will need for their session- I have a large collection of wraps, props, head bands, bonnets and knit outfits. I also have a small assortment of women's dresses and toddler outfits that my clients may use during their session.
During your newborn session you are welcome to relax on the couch, watch tv or even close your eyes while I take care of everything.
Once your session is booked you will also receive a email closer to your session full of tips and ways to help you prepare for your session.
Just when you think you know love, something little comes along to remind you just how big it really is.
The Studio
Milestone Sessions
Milestone sessions are offered at three months and up.
Siblings may be added at $25 per child. These sessions may be done in studio or outdoors 1-2 hours before sunset, weather permitting.
Cake smash sessions are offered as well but I ask parents purchase the cake
due to the risk of food allergies.
During milestone sessions I like to follow your child's lead and keep it candid with a couple posed images, I feel this helps bring out your childs personality. I encourage them to sing, dance, skip and pick flowers during our time together.​

Maternity
Brining a new life into the world is something so special. I feel it is just as important to capture your pregnancy no matter if this is your first baby or fourth baby.
Maternity sessions are usually done after 28 or in the third trimester. Book a maternity session and a signature newborn session together and save $100.
Styling
Wardrobe adds such a valuable component to the way you will view your images. The colors will breathe life into the image, whether it be warm and colorful, or calm and peaceful.. The textures, layers, mixing patterns, accessories…it is such and important element and I want to help you pull all these pieces together! I offer a client closet with dresses for mom and toddler clothing and would also love to assist in picking out and planning your wardrobe. My closet is always growing and I welcome you to make an appointment before your session to come try on anything. Upon booking you will also receive a link to a styling service to also help with inspiration for outfits and easy access to purchase any pieces.
Newborn & Child Milestones
Newborn sessions are all inclusive and come with a print release, styling assistance and access to client closet. Newborn and child milestone sessions are scheduled Monday-Friday in studio or outdoors weather dependent. Instudio newborns are done between the hours of 9 am-3pm (unless diffrent time agreed upon).
